So I'm writing a blog. People have been asking me to, some because they want to know what I'm up to, some because they are worried about my welfare overseas, some because they think I'll get into some crazy shenanigans and most for a mixture of the above. None should be disappointed. I will have countless escapades and misadventures and plenty of stories to tell when (if?) I come home but also some to share in the meantime on here. Mostly, I'm writing this blog for myself so that I can remember as much of my trip as possible.
Blog update: despite setbacks caused by a certain hurricane, I am now in Athens (only a day late)! My apartment is around the corner from the academic center and right near the stadium. Classes have been cancelled for the week so I should have some time to explore my neighborhood and settle in. Hopefully I will be able to post photos of Athens soon.
